Allontanatevi da me, malfattori!’ Così come il messaggio in Apocalisse 6:9-10 è un’allusione alla profezia in Salmi 58:6-11, questo messaggio in Matteo 7:22-23 è un’allusione a questa profezia dove è chiaro che egli ama Dio, ma odia i suoi nemici. Se odia i suoi nemici e non era un ipocrita, allora non ha mai detto il messaggio in Matteo 5:38-48. Furono gli ipocriti religiosi «cattolici romani» che, con quel messaggio nella Bibbia che dice «ama i tuoi nemici», massacrarono molte persone in nome della loro religione nell’inquisizione empia, che era sempre a favore degli idoli e non della giustizia, perché la frode e la giustizia sono incompatibili:
Salmi 139:17 Quanto sono preziosi per me, o Dio, i tuoi pensieri! Com’è immensa la loro somma! 18 Se li contassi, sarebbero più numerosi dei granelli di sabbia: quando mi sveglierò, sarò ancora con voi. 19 Se tu, Dio, uccidessi gli empi! Lontano da me, uomini assetati di sangue! 20 Parlano di te con intenzioni malvagie; i tuoi avversari abusano del tuo nome (Usando Dio come pretesto, difendono le preghiere rivolte a varie creature). 21 Non odio forse quelli che ti odiano, Geova, e non aborro quelli che si ribellano contro di te? 22 Non ho altro che odio per loro; Li considero miei nemici. (I giusti odiano i malvagi, non amano tutti, ma solo i giusti. Salmi 135:14 Poiché Geova vendicherà il suo popolo e avrà compassione dei suoi servitori. 15 Gli idoli delle nazioni sono d’argento e d’oro, fatti da mano d’uomo. 16 Hanno bocca, ma non possono parlare, occhi, ma non vedono. 17 Hanno orecchi, ma non odono, e non hanno fiato. 18 Quelli che li fanno saranno come loro, e così tutti quelli che confidano in loro. Isaia 2:8 Il loro paese è pieno di idoli; si inchinano al lavoro delle loro mani, a ciò che le loro dita hanno fatto. 9 Così l’uomo è umiliato e ciascuno è abbassato, non perdonateglielo!
Non solo sono idoli, ma sono anche idoli disonorevoli!
1 Corinzi 11:14 La natura stessa delle cose non vi insegna forse che se un uomo ha i capelli lunghi, è una vergogna per lui? 15 Ma se una donna ha i capelli lunghi, è la sua gloria? Perché i capelli lunghi le sono dati come copertura.
